5/21/2019 Trash Pickup
Effective June 1, 2019, Lake Region Village will begin using a different company, Ideal Refuse, for our trash collection. This change will result in the following changes to our trash collection schedule:
-
TRASH, BRUSH, AND BULK/LARGE ITEMS (FURNITURE, APPLIANCES, ETC…) WILL BE COLLECTED ONE (1) TIME PER WEEK. The collection of all three categories will be done on the same day, Tuesday, of each week and will begin at approximately 8:00am.
-
You will still be able to set your trash out in the same containers, or bags as you have in the past. Please place your trash out for pickup by 8:00am each Tuesday; however, no earlier than late Monday evening. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHOULD ANY ITEMS BE PLACED AT THE CURB FOR PICKUP AT ANY TIME OTHER THAN LATE MONDAY EVENING OR EARLY TUESDAY MORNING!
-
PER LRV RULES, Section F - MOBILE HOMES SITES, paragraph 5: “Residents may not store any items around their mobile home or in their carports. TRASH RECEPTAPCLES MUST BE STORED IN THE MOBILE HOME UTILITY SHEDS.”.
-
RECYCLING WILL NO LONGER BE COLLECTED. (Cans will continue being collected by the Horseshoe Club.)
-
Advanced disposal is not asking us to return the recycling containers. If you would like to keep the recycling container for your own use, do not use the container at all the last week of May (5/27 – 5/31). If you do NOT want to keep your recycling container, put it out on May 28th (as that will be your last day of recycling) and they say they will take the container.

Secretary, LRV BOD

Garbage and Waste Pickup

To all residents,
As you know the trash in our community is an ongoing discussion. Today we met with Ideal Refuse regarding construction debris, weeds coming out of the lake front, and picking up constructions material and other items. Attached you will find the latest sheet from Ideal Refuse regarding their guidelines. Per our Rules, Page 3, Section C. Association Responsibilities, 1. The Association shall provide water, sewer, yard waste and garbage pickup under the terms and conditions established by the Board. With that said, and our lack of garbage companies to choose from gives us no other recourse but to make the following changes beginning April 7, 2020 the we will be implementing.
The items we will be picking up and charging for:
Lake front weeds - $50 per tractor bucket load (or you can bag it and have it picked up for free, cannot be over 50lbs in weight)
Construction material from homeowner…their own remodel (no contractor involved) - $50 per bucket load
Dock construction and repair by homeowner - $50 per bucket load
Smaller loads will be picked up but for no less than $20 (approved by BOD)
The process will be:
Come to the office and fill out a work order and make payment in advance as to what needs to be picked up. Once that is complete the maintenance department will be given the work order to complete the pickup.
Sincerely,
Marla Coy, President
On behalf of the BOD’s Lake Region Mobile Home, Inc.
