I received an email this week that Jean Stanley, who lived at 176 Keystone Terrace for many years, passed away on June 5. She had been living at her son's house in Lakeland for a few years.
I am sorry to report the death of Emile Martel last Sunday. Emile was 82 years old. He and his wife Jean have been married 62 years and have been snowbirds at 159 Green Mountain for many years. Emile is survived by his wife, Jean, three sons Michael, John and Thomas all from Connecticut; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. The flags in LRV have been flown at half-staff for the last three days in honor of Emile's service in the US Air Force. Services will be held for Emile later this year in Connecticut. Please keep Jean and their family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. Cards and words of sympathy can be sent to Jean at

A moment of silence for Emiel Martel followed by TAPS in honor of Emile’s service in the US Air Force.
Some happy news made its way into my texts this week. The Haskiel’s grandson, Greyson Ergenbright attended Dartmouth College on a lacrosse scholarship. He will graduate on June 12 with majors in government, economics and philosophy. Greyson will begin his career in July as a financial analyst. Congrats Greyson!!
If those of your who live in the front part of LRV have not been down Sunshine lately, it is well worth your trip. The jacaranda tree on the corner of Sunshine and Sunshine is in bloom and it is beautiful. It is just awesome.
