Lake Region Coffee News – April 7, 2022

Tony Macaluso was the MC today

Attendance – 192

In honor of Opening Day of the Major League Baseball season, we sang “Take me out to the ball game”.  The super Cub Fan Shirley Shogren interviewed Yogi “Tony” Berra.  Many of the answers were the famous “yogi isams”.

Kim Burch, New Residents: Kim introduced the following new residents:  Dan and Cheryl Moore, snowbirds at 362 Badger, from Pennsylvania; and Tim and Jody Hill, 444 Peachtree, from norther New York.

          Visitors:  No visitors today.

Shari Haines, Serendipity: Today we have to thank Rick Maag for our pastries this morning in celebration of the 11th anniversary or Joanne’s 49th birthday.  And, of course, when someone buys the donuts and muffins, the Social Club furnishes the coffee and tea.

Jo Johnson, formerly on Sycamore, had a stroke this week. We need to keep her in our prayers this week.

Beth Mikolayek, Oak Trail, had hip replacement surgery last Thursday as I reported.  On Friday she broke the femur bone in the same leg.  She had surgery on Saturday.  She is now recuperating at her daughter’s home in Orlando

Please keep them both in your thoughts and prayers.

One of our favorite visitors is Trent.  He is the great grandson of Trudy and Ray Roser, Mustang.  Trent and the Roser’s daughter, Tammy, are here to driving them back north for the summer.  I understand Trent is going to graduate from high school this May.  Congratulations TRENT!!!!
