Lake Region Village Koffee News – December 22, 2022

Thanks to Barb Norsen for pitch hitting for me this week. Bruce and I left for Illinois two days early to beat the winter storm. And now I am sitting her in Batavia IL watching it snow and blow as the temperatures drop. I am really glad we left early!! Merry Christmas to all. Barb will pitch hit again for me next week. I will see you all in 2023!! Shari Haines
There was 208 in attendance
Michael Jorgensen was the MC today and he led his choir with a few Christmas Carols.
Our Donuts & Muffins were free thanks to Michael Jorgensen, Lynn Clugston, and Carol Butler in celebration of their birthdays and Alice Behrle in lieu of Christmas Cards.. And when someone pays for the donuts and Muffins, the Social Club pays for the coffee & tea.
Kim Burch – Visiting the Snodgrass’ was their daughter, husband Tim and grandsons Paton and Landon. Also theere was Ray & Pat Forney tenants residing at 298 Wolverine and Margi Hoye has her son Greg visiting.
Serendipity: I received a note from Kathryn Bolton regarding husband Michael. She wrote” they put a drain in Michaels gallbladder. He will have to have that for about 6 weeks. No surgery now until that is drained. They said it was so swollen with infection that it was making the liver look infected on the CAT scan. The liver is fine. He will be in the hospital possibly for one more day ( got a text message at 11:50am he is home). They want to get his different blood levels improved first. He already has color in his face for the first time since Thanksgiving. They have him on a liquid diet.”
It has also been reported to me that Wanda Murphy has been admitted to the Advent Hospital with Pneumonia and Afib. They have gotten the Afib under control but she is still weak.
I am sadden to report the death of Larry Laneuville of 208 Orchid Terr. He passed peacefully on Sunday evening. Larry had been in home hospice since May 4. Larry and Chris bought in LRV in 2003 and were once very active. Larry was a licensed plumber and electrician. Larry was 1 of 14 children and did not serve in the Arm Forces as they needed him on the farm. Larry is survived by his wife Chris, 4 daughters, 6 grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Cards can be sent to Chris at 76 Pinecrest Dr., Essex Junction, VT 05452. Chris is planning on coming down in January.
There no other reported sickness so please keep Michael and Wanda in our prayers and please also keep the family of Larry Laneuville in our prayers.
