VILLAGE HISTORICAL EVENTS

(To be completed) Most of this information was taken from Betty Berry’s Village History show presented in Jan. 2017.

 

March 17, 1969 Opening Day of the original mobile home park known as “Lake Region Paradise Island.” it included 238 rental sites, a recreation hall, shuffleboard courts, a tennis court, swimming pool and a boat ramp. Two buildings at the entrance included an office, a store and a laundromat. The store later became a golf pro shop and gun shop. Click here for more details

July 29, 1988 the residents purchased the park and named it Lake Region Village.

1988 Clubhouse Mural donated by the Artist Club located on north wall in clubhouse.

February 1997 dedication of new club house. The original clubhouse was greatly expanded.Shelters and buildings were added to shuffle-board and horseshoe courts.
