Mary Smelser was the MC today.
Count: 203
New Residents, Kim Burch: Kim introduced Miriam Weigand from Ohio originally from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She is a new full-time resident at 94 Mustang. Also introduced were Fred and Andrea Wessels, snowbird residents at 574 Oak Trail, from Forest, Ontario, Canada.
Visitors: No visitors today.
Shari Haines, Serendipity: Today we can thank Mort & Luella Westcott for our donuts and muffins this morning in celebration of their 71st wedding anniversary (today). WOW!!! And when someone buys the donuts, the Social Club furnishes the coffee and tea. I want to remind everyone as our Coffee Klatch grows and it is necessary to purchase more and more donuts, if you would like to share a Thursday with another person to furnish the donuts and muffins, the ladies back there at the table will be glad to assist you. We will make a sign to designated the occasion for both donations.
Ron Anderson, Aloha, was taken by ambulance last Friday evening after a fall to Winter Haven Hospital. He fractured his femur. Surgery was ruled out and he has been transferred to Life Care in Winter Haven and placed on complete bed rest for 2 months.
Marlene Law, Oak Trail, is having surgery today. They are going to remove and replace an artery in the leg which she recently had a knee replacement.
Does anyone have any other health concern or updates that they would like to share?
This morning I am sorry to report the passing of June Bell, Sycamore. June has been a long-time resident at Life Care in Winter Haven. June was 89 years old. June is survived by her husband, Bill (our faithful piano player and sound man here at Coffee on Thursdays), one son, John; two daughters, Heather and Kim (and Bill proudly told me they all have PHD’s). June had one grandson who is 21 years old and a junior at Colorado State University. She is also survived by a sister, Diane Bechard, who lives here in the park on Wolverine. No services are being planned. As I was talking to Bill last evening, he was a patient at Winter Haven Hospital. He is hoping to be back in the Park and home today. Please keep Bill and his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
A moment of silence in honor of June Bell.

Thought for the week
Before my thought for the week, I would like for our Lake Region Veterans to stand so that we can give them a round of applause for their service.
For the veteran, thank you for bravely doing what you’re called to do so we can safely do what we’re free to do.
For our men and women in uniform, past, present, and future, God bless you and thank you.
HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!
