Lake Region Coffee News – November 4, 2021

Mary Smelser was the MC today.

Count:  176

New Residents, Kim Burch:  Kim introduced Mike and Deb Snyder, new renters from Illinois at 101 Mustang; Mike and Debbie  Gourley, new snowbirds from Pennsylvania at 504 Sycamore; and Irene and Kent White, snowbirds from Rochester, NY at 279 Garden Lane.

Visitors: Becky Curtis, Sycamore introduced her son, Cory.

Shari Haines, Serendipity: Today we can thank Horseshoe Club for our donuts and muffins this morning. And when someone buys the donuts, the Social Club furnishes the coffee and tea.

As each week rolls along, more and more of the snowbirds return.  Show of hands if this is your first coffee since returning to LRV.  (Lots of hands went up.)  Welcome back!!!  We are in full swing here. Last Friday night over 100 of us enjoyed those hamburgers that Patsy’s guy served with all the fixin’s.  Then on Saturday night, the “Groove Girls” were here and “rocked” the clubhouse.  Finally on Tuesday, we had potluck, LRV style with almost 4 full tables. They even made me stand and sang “Happy Birthday”.  Bruce claimed he had planned it all in celebration of my birthday.  George Durham and Gwen entertained us after dinner.  Do you know George plays 25 different musical instruments? Remarkable!!

I learned this am that Vicki Hamblen, 230 Bay Terrace, is a patient at Winter Haven Hospital.  They are trying to get her blood pressure regulated. And, Sharon Winton, 429 Golden Lane, is home now.
